A survey on the application of the corpora technology by English teachers at higher vocational college

调查高职院校英语教师使用语料库技术情况,结果显示,目前高职院校的英语课堂教学中很少将语料库语言学的研究成果和语料库资源应用其中。应对英语教师进行有关语料库语言学教学方法的培训,实现真正意义上的"以学生为中心"的英语教学方法的转变。

A survey is made among English language teachers about using corpora in higher vocational colleges. The survey shows that the practice of ELT in China is still largely unaffected by corpus-based methods for teaching purposes.Practically,very old fashioned methods are frequently used in the English classroom instructions without much applications of corpus linguistics.In this regard,it is necessary to train teachers of English with pedagogy of corpus linguisties before truly learner-centered methods are envisaged.
