Influential Factors on the Implementation of College Freshmen Orientation

摘要 以549份高校新生入学教育满意度调查问卷数据为依据,运用有序Probit模型,探究影响新生入学教育实施效果的关键因素。结果表明:新生个人特征变量中的所学专业与报考专业是否一致、生源地、上大学之前是否了解新生入学教育以及新生入学教育的内容、老师讲授的方式、入学教育的时间安排、对学生管理制度的认识状况和新生入学教育能否满足学生的需要对新生入学教育实施效果具有显著影响。而性别差异、专业差异、对所学专业的认识程度以及对自身职业生涯规划认识程度对新生入学教育实施效果的影响不显著。 This article explores the key factors affecting the implementation of the orientation for the freshmen based on the data generated from questionnaires with the method of Ordered Probit Model. The results show that the outcome of the orientation is significantly influenced by the following variables of students: consistency between students’ choice of program and the actual programs they are admitted into, hometown of the freshmen prior knowledge about the orienta-tion, the methodologies of instruction, scheduling of the orientation, the freshmen’s prior knowledge about the manage-ment system as well as the extent to which the orientation meets freshmen’s demands. By contrast, the following fac-tors of students do not show significant influence on the effectiveness of orientation:gender, choice of program, knowl-edge of the programs enrolled in as well as that on career planning.
