Combined with the soft-starter operating principle, this paper discussed the thermal stability verification in GB 14048.6-2008 and expounded the purpose and the specific test method of thermal stability verification for soft-starter. Contrasted to the ideal situation in national standard, this paper analyzed specific problems in test process, which provides references for the test of thermal stability verification of soft-starter in accordance with GB 14048.6-2008.
