Organizational Nature of NCAA

NCAA作为美国大学竞技体育的主体,对美国高等教育、竞技体育乃至美国社会都产生深远影响。利用非营利组织相关理论剖析NCAA的组织性质,为深入研究NCAA生存之道、组织异化、NCAA改革、美国大学竞技体育价值定位等议题奠定理论基础。研究认为:NCAA享有非营利组织法律地位,NCAA还具有非营利性、公益性、非政府性以及自治性,这些是美国大学竞技体育构建基础。

National Collegiate Athletics Association （NCAA） is the main body of the American college competitive sports, yielding a deep influence on American higher education, competitive sports and American society. In this paper, the organizational nature of NCAA is analyzed with adoption of non--profit organizational theories. It can be seen that NCAA is a non--profit organization in the American legal system. Its development is insightful for research into collegiate athletics.
