近年来,薛有才教授在体育文化基础理论研究方面提出了许多新的观点,发表了系列文章,《体育文化学》一书就是这些研究成果的结晶。薛有才教授运用现代科学技术哲学、现代社会学、现代文化学、现代体育理论等多种理论,从多角度对体育文化进行了系统的阐述,把大家带入了体育文化的学术境地。他从体育文化观、体育文化史、体育文化价值、体育文化冲突4个方面全方位展开对体育文化的研究,对体育文化现象深入的思考与分析,为体育文化学勾勒出一个初步的框架。可以说,《体育文化学》是一部体育文化基础理论研究的好书。

In recent years, Prof. Xue Youcai put forward some fresh ideas and published a series of articles in the theoretical research on sports culture. The book of Physical Education Culture shows the great achievements in this research. The author applies theory to practice from the aspects of modern philosophy of science and technology, modern sociology, the modern culture, modern sports theory, and systematically discusses physical education culture, and guides us to academic circumstances of sports culture. Prof. Xue does the omnibearing research of sports culture from four ways, i.e. , the sports cultural viewpoint, sports cultural value, sports cultural history and sports cultural conflict. Intensive thought and analysis of sports cultural phenomenon can draw an original outline for sports culture by Physical Education Culture. In a word, this is a valuable book about basic theory research of sports culture.
