摘要
译者主体性在林语堂自译本《啼笑皆非》中得到了充分体现。其警醒国人的翻译目的和中国传统文化取向决定了林语堂必然选择"归化"的翻译策略,其审美观促使他进行了创造性翻译。文章结合典型例句对其译者主体性进行分析。
The translator＇ s subjectivity is fully reflected in Lin Yutang＇ s self - translation of Between Tears and Laughter. Domesti- cation was employed in his translation because of his translation purpose and his cultural orientation. What＇ s more, he translated creatively to develop the sense of beauty in Chinese language. This paper aims to analyze the translator＇ s subjectivity in Lin＇ s translation of Between Tears and Laughter by comparing the typical sentences in English and Chinese.
