The Contribution of Jiaxing People to Sikuquanshu

从乾隆三十七年(1772)开始的图书征集到民国时期学者们对《四库全书》的研究校勘,浙江嘉兴人一直与此相始终,为中国传统文化的传承与延继做出了卓越贡献。嘉兴人进献图书、造福后人,充任四库,编纂巨著,护书校书,功勋至伟,他们的优秀著述不仅是《四库全书》的重要组成部分,还成为了《四库全书总目》的重要取资文献。

From a nation- wide campaign of book collectifig in 1772 to the scholars＇ collation on Sikuquanshu during the period of the Republic of China, Jiaxing had been an active part from beginning to end, and made outstanding contribution for the inheritance and continuation of Chinese traditional culture. Past scholars of Jiaxing submitted books to benefit later generations, worked in the Sikuquanshu institute to compile the masterpiece, and made big efforts to protect and save books. Their good writings were not only an important part of Sikuquanshu, but also became the important reference documents of the General Catalogue of Sikuquanshu.
