With the development of the Gigabit Ethemet, the appliance of diskless workstation is increasing exponentially. The principle of the diskless workstation is to set up a server in the network, where there are the files for the operating system and the software of the station. It makes the administration and maintenance of the station carrying out on the server. It amounts to updating all the stations to update the software on the server. Dealing with the problems of the diskless workstation is becoming an important ability for the network administrators. This text aims at pointing out boot failures of a diskless workstation in practical work and finds out the quality of the network environment directly affecting the running of a diskless workstation.
