摘要
在高校英语专业本科教学中,基础英语课程的重要地位毋庸置疑。基础英语教学改革进行了很多年,但效果一直不佳,很大原因在于教师对课程教学存在的误区缺乏清醒认识,教学中无法做到有的放矢。本文详细解析基础英语教学中的三个误区,即偏重教学进度,课堂教师讲解与学生参与比例失调;偏重基础知识掌握,忽视语言基本技能操练及学生思辨能力培养;偏重文章内容学习,忽视理论实际联系及文化信息传达,探究现存教学问题解决方法,从而更好地提高基础英语教学质量。
In the teaching for undergraduate English majors in colleges or universities, the important role of the elementary Eng-lish course is undeniable. Its teaching reform has been carried out for many years, but its effect is undesirable. One of the key reasons is that the teachers have not been clearly aware of their teaching misunderstandings, which makes the teaching targets can't be achieved totally. This paper analyzes three major Eng-lish teaching misunderstandings, namely, laying particular stress on teaching progress and resulting in the imbalance of the teach-ers' teaching and the students' participation, emphasizing the ba-sic language knowledge to ignore the training of basic language skills and the cultivation of students' ability, and stressing the ar-ticle contents to neglect the actual contact of theory and practice and convey of the culture information. The paper focuses on the solutions of the existing teaching problems, thus to effectively im-prove the teaching quality of the elementary English course.
