In the thousands of years of civilization, Beihai city has generated unique culture. Maritime Silk Road, sidewalk construction, Hall tombs unearthed cultural relics, pearl culture, DanJia culture are all the important part in the five thousand years of Chinese civilization history. The development of digital media technology has provided a pluralistic way for protection of historical relics and intangible cultural heritage. Many countries has established digital museum with digital media technology, and the use of self power of media has provided many new ways and choice for historical and cultural relicls protection and propaganda. It is an important topic for the Beihai city about how to use digital media technology to protect the cultural heritage.
