A Brief Review of the English Literature Studies on the History of Landscape Architecture from a Feminist Perspective

摘要结合女性主义视角重新审视自1990年以来风景园林历史的主要英文文献研究,包括博士论文、期刊文章、专题研讨会及著作等类型。它们以编年、描述、解释、修正等多种方式发掘风景园林史中缺失的女性角色,揭示性别影响创作、设计、风景园林体验的不同方式,探究女性重塑城市景观的多重动因与贡献。女性主义视角应避免简单的二分法,关注多样性、包容性与复杂性,激发跨学科的对话和对风景园林史现有范式的批评。 The paper briefly reviews the English studies on the history of landscape architecture combining a feminist perspecti,,e since 1990, including dissertations, journal papers, symposiums and other publications. Via chronicled, introductive, descripti,,e or revisionist approaches, these studies uncover women＇s various roles absent in previous landscape history. They reveal the diverse ways that gender has influenced the creation, design, and experience of landscapes, and identify the multiple impetuses and contributions about urban landscape transformations by women. The feminist interventions should circumvent a simple dichotomy, recognize diversity, inclusion and complexity, and initiate interdisciplinary dialogue and critical reexamination of the dominant paradigms for writing the history of landscape architecture.
