Homology, Derivation, Interaction and Integration: From Cross Strait Architectural Academic Exchange Foresee Architectural Development

海峡两岸建筑学术交流在中国建筑学会及中华全球建筑学人交流协会的共同努力下,从专业界到学术界,历经了20余年。从第一次两岸会面到工作坊首度在大陆举办,北京清华大学建筑学院一直扮演关键角色。台湾逐渐深化的在地文化,可作为祖国大陆在追求现代化发展过程转而自省的借镜。经济发展主导人才流动,台湾人力资源往大陆流动的趋势,如何整合与发挥力量是两岸应共同思考的课题。

Over more than 20 years and many meetings, the Architectural Society of China and the International Chinese Architecture Association across the strait have managed to build a successful record of academic and professional exchange. From their very first joint meeting and workshop on the mainland, Tsinghua University＇s School of Architecture has played a key role in the whole process. Taiwan＇s record of developing its local culture offers great lessons for rapidly modernizing China's Mainland. The mainland＇s economic engine naturally draws human resources from Taiwan to China. How to integrate this force has become the major subject of consideration for both sides in this important conversation.
