Through the dialogue between LiXiangningand PhilipF.Yuan,this article reviews the personal development of Philip in design activities.It then analyses in depth his exploration of digital tectonics in teaching and practice and the reference significance,with his dual capacities of experimental architect and teacher.It further investigates the meaning of digital design in the Chinese contemporary architectural context,and its impact on architectural ontology.
