建设应用技术大学的战略思考——基于常熟理工学院的办学探索

The Strategic Thinking on the Construction of a Technology-applied University:Based on the Exploration of the School Running of Changshu Institute of Technology

系统总结常熟理工学院升本十年来转型发展的基本经验,即系统谋划、准确定位,思路清晰、稳步推进,抢抓机遇、顺势而为,重视研究、科学发展,分析学校在新一轮发展中的高等教育转型大背景,有助于明确创建"特色鲜明、质量著称的应用技术大学"的目标方向、以提升大学职能履行能力为核心的内涵建设任务和建设应用技术大学的几个关键指标,进而从战略层面梳理学校建设应用技术大学的基本思路。

Firstly, this paper makes a comprehensive summary of the basic experience of the ten years’transition development of Changshu Institute of Technology since being upgraded as an undergraduate university, namely sys-tem planning, accurate positioning, clear thinking, steady progress, capturing and taking advantage of opportunities, and attaching importance to research and scientific development. Secondly, the paper makes an analysis of the background of higher education in the development of a new round of transitions, defines the target direction of con-structing“a technology-applied university with distinctive characteristics and excellent quality”and several key in-dicators in order to enhance the connotation of university functions to perform ability as the core construction task. Lastly, the paper proposes a basic idea of constructing a technology-applied university on the strategic level.
