The Yue culture and the Han culture are different. Except for the custom of 'the hair cut and the body tattooed' , little is known about the Yue culture since the remote past. This paper synthesizes relevant records and data from relevant disciplines and illustrates this from three aspects. It dissects the Yue culture deeply and makes it clear that it belongs to a culture different from that of the Han. Moreover, it demonstrates the historical development of the Yue, the ancestor of the Zhuang - Thai ethnic groups and the influences of its culture on their descendants. There are historical records, and evidences from archaeology and linguistics as well.
