Starting from the point of view of studying practical application of industrial wireless instrument system in petro-chemical enterprise, the technical characteristic and essential structure of industrial wireless instrument system, the main protocol standard of wireless network technology, industrial wireless network security and reliability are expatiated. The scheme of large-scale application of wireless instrument system manufactured by Honeywell in 800 kt/a ethylene project, the setting and on-site installation of wireless instruments, multi- functional nodes and redundant gateways are introduced.
