摘要
过程哲学家怀特海与后现代哲学在批判"现代性"的观点上,有不少类似之处。但是他并没有因此放弃哲学传统中连接人类全体经验的基本观点:观念、理想、价值、意义、目的、人格、语言、文化、神,而这些却成为后现代主义思想家批判的对象。通过比较二者,并说明他们对于后现代教育的启示作用,以及可能发挥的影响。
Incriticizing some basic notions of modernity, one of the most influential process philosophers Alfred North Whitehead seems to stand with most of the postmodernists. Nonetheless, he did not forsake, as most of the postmodernists have done, the traditional philosophical notions, such as ideas, ideals, value, meaning, purpose, character, reason, God, etc., which are the indispensiblc elements that constitute the framework of total human ex- perience. The present paper is an attempt to make a comparison between the two, and to see their relevance and in- fluence to postmodern education.
