美国营利性大学崛起的理由及启示——读理查德·鲁克的《高等教育公司——营利性大学的崛起》有感

The Reasons and Revelation of For-Profit Universities in the United States——On Richard Luke's Higher education company——the rise of for-profit universities

20世纪70年代以来,美国营利性大学迅猛发展。理查德·鲁克的《高等教育公司——营利性大学的崛起》一书总结了美国营利性大学的崛起主要得益于资格认证制度的实行、以市场需求为导向和现代企业的管理文化等方面,这对我国民办高等教育的发展有积极启示:应该建立和完善民办高等教育制度;以市场为导向建立新的民办高等教育秩序;采用现代企业管理方式,提高民办高等教育的管理效率。

The rapid development of USA for-profit university has been made since 1970s .By reading Richard Luke’s Highereducationcompany---theriseofcompany profituniversity,we learn that the rise of American for-profit university is mainly due to the implementation of qualification certification system,orientation of market demand and modern enterprise management culture,which has positive implications for the development of our private higher education.Therefore,we should establish and perfect the system of private higher education ,set up a new order of private higher education guided by the market,adopt the modern enterprise management mode to improve the management efficiency of pri-vate higher education.
