Effect of modern biology development on the modernization of tradition Chinese medicine

目前,随着我国中医药在临床应用方面的大力推广以及民众对中医药的重视,中医药在治疗和预防疾病方面开始发挥重大的作用。在科学技术高度发展的今天,现代生物学的发展尤其是功能基因组学、蛋白质组学以及系统生物学等的发展,为中医药的现代化奠定了生物学基础。现代生物学技术的发展对解决中医药现代化过程中存在的问题、生物资源保护以及中药新药开发应用等方面具有重要意义,可有效推动中医药的现代化。

With the extensive application of Tradition Chinese Medicine （TCM） in clinic and the growing public sensitivity to Tradition Chinese Medicine, TCM has played an important role on the treatment and prevention of disease. The develop- ment of Modem Biology, especially functional genomics, proteomics and system biology, establishes the biological foundation for the modernization of TCM. It is of great significance to solve the existing problems in the process of TCM modernization, protect biological resource and explore new TCM drugs. It can effectively promote the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
