Located Sitting than 900 meters above on a mountain more sea level, Jinlong village in Pailiao town of Huayuan County is a Miao village clinging to the edge of cliffs more than 300 meters high. It has long been known as ＂the Miao village on the cliff, Jinlong amid the clouds.＂
How old is Jinlong?I don’t know.What I do know is that the sheer cliff has stood there wreathed amid cloud and mist,the dawn glow has radiated brightly,and Jinlong people have lived and multiplied here for generation after generation.Actually,Jinlong is remote from the outside world.When I came here over 10 years ago the road was still a narrow goat track.But it is precisely this isolation that has enabled the culture to pass on from generation to generation in its own fashion.
