Intelligent substation is an important link in the construction of intelligent Zhelin Power Plant. Whether equipped with the Intelligent Primary electric equipment is the fundamental difference between the tradi-tional substation and the intelligent one. This article firstly covers the characters of smart substation, and then dis-cusses how to realize the intelligence in primary equipment, and finally puts forward some suggestions on the con-struction of the equipment.
