改革开放后,对外开放的政策加上学习国外先进技术对改善中国产品产生了巨大的影响,而最为显著的是上海轻工业的发展。从1978年的引进成套设备到"双鹿"、"水仙"等家电品牌受到广大消费者的热捧,到金星电视机到华生牌电扇、美加净等等,催生了一系列上海品牌。品牌是一种特殊的,具有很强的综合性价值的资产,是企业占领市场,在竞争中取胜的法宝。在新的历史条件下,企业的品牌意识再次被唤醒,设计融入了品牌,设计的后起之秀用上海的品牌精神打造新的品牌让中国品牌慢慢建立。上海品牌精神的延续必将展开中国品牌史的辉煌篇章。
