This paper studies the reasons of the outsourcing of Wuhan Library＇ s cataloging department, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the outsourcing of cataloging work, explains some problems easily occurring in the outsourcing with some actual examples, and probes into the corresponding strategies.
