摘要
由于基督教一向把自然看成是上帝神迹的体现,所以《白鲸》中的以实玛利的出海经历使得他对人与自然的关系有了直觉般的领悟,从而也促使他在精神上得到了成长。本文通过对美国著名作家赫曼·麦尔维尔的经典名著《白鲸》中的加尔文主义宗教观的分析和透视,提出当我们把人对世界的理解看作可以用不同的形式来把握时,我们就会受到新的启发,得到新的智慧。
Christians believe that nature is the manifestation of God, so Ishmael in Moby Dick had an intuitive comprehension of the relationship between human and nature after his voyage in the sea, which also promoted his spiritual growth. By analy- zing and studying the Calvinist outlook in the classic American novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville, this article points out that people can approach the world from diversified perspectives, which will help us get new inspiration and acquire new wisdom.
