The Necessity of Radio and Television's Application under the Philosophy of Open University

在广播电视大学基础上设立的开放大学,要面向全体社会成员开展学历继续教育和非学历继续教育,促进终身教育体系的形成,以及人人皆学、处处可学、时时能学的学习型社会的形成,必须建立以卫星、电视、互联网和移动终端等主要载体的教育资源传输和呈现体系。而广播电视作为目前影响力最大,覆盖面最广的大众传媒,在开放大学理念下的应用仍然具有广阔的空间。

The Open University, built on the foundation of Radio and TV University, is aiming to provide curriculum further edu- cation and non-curriculum further education for the society in order to promote the formation of a lifelong education system and a learning society that provides education to whoever, wherever and whenever. Therefore, an educational resources transmission and presenting system with satellite, TV, Internet and mobile terminal as the main carriers should be built up. As a mass media with the most popularity and widest coverage, there is still an immense space for Radio and TV~ application under the philosophy of Open University.
