文本类型学视角下的多模态语篇翻译

On the Translation of Multimodal Text Based on the Theory of Text Typology

从文本类型学的角度探索多模态语篇的可译性,为该类语篇的翻译提供理论框架和实践范例。对该类型语篇进行分类,结合语篇功能和类型的相互关系,提出多模态语篇翻译的两条原则:最高原则为实现语言功能和文本功能的"功能对等";最低原则为实现占主导地位的文本"功能对等"。结合实例,提出几种具体的翻译策略:保留原文多模态手段,实现双重"功能对等";保留原文多模态手段,利用辅助手段实现双重"功能对等";保留原文多模态手段,传递语篇主导功能;变换模态,传递语篇主导功能;发挥译语优势,挑战"不可译",传递语篇主导功能。根据文本不同类型,选择不同的翻译原则和策略,可以在译文中成功传递原文的真实意图。

The present paper aims to explore the translatability of multimodal text based on the theory of Text Typology and provide a theoretical framework and practical example for the translation of this type of texts. Classifying this type of texts and based on the relationship between textual function and typology ,the research proposes two principles of translating multimodal text：one is to realize the ＂functional equivalence＂ of linguistic function and textural function;the other is to realize the ＂functional equivalence＂ of the textual dominant func- tion. Then the research analyzes the following translating strategies via examples：to keep muhimodalities; to make use of assisting methods;to utilize other multimdolities;to make full use of the advantages of the target language.
