This paper offers a comprehensive summary of the definition, connotation and main technology system of precision agriculture, discusses its major role in agricultural production, examines the development process and research application of precision agriculture, and analyzes its development prospects in China in order to provide theoretical reference for promoting the rapid development of preci-sion agriculture in China.
