光聪谐家世、生平及著述考略

Study on Guang Congxie's Family,Life and Works

光聪谐是清代桐城派中期重要作家,他的家世、生平及著述情况一直湮没无闻。他出生于寒素之家,师从桐城派鼻祖姚鼐,早年以坐馆谋生,后官至直隶布政使。他为官期间颇有政声,却于中年遽然引退,晚年避乱杭州,并未参与镇压太平军。他以经学名世,文学成就亦深得同人赞赏,有《稼墨轩集》、《有不为斋随笔》等多种著作传世,并致力于乡邦文献搜集整理。

Guang Congxie was an important writer during the middle period of Tongcheng school in the Qing Dynasty. His family, life and works had been fallen into oblivion. He was born in a poor family. He acknowledged Yao Nai as his teacher, earned his living as a teacher in early years, later served as commissioner of ZhiLi, enjoyed good political reputation during the of- fieial period, hut retired in his middle age suddenly. In old age, he went to Hangzhou to avoid chaos, did not participate in the suppression of the Taiping Army. He was known for classics, while literary achievement also won people praise. He had a lot of e- ditions, such as Jia Mo Xuan Ji, Not for Zhai Es.~ay. He Mso committed to collecting and sorting the township nation literature.
