This paper conducts analysis and comparison toward the three technologies -IPV4 protocol, IPv6 protocol, and transition from IPv4 to IPv6, provides the technical reference for the understanding of the next generation Internet main network protocols and how to gradually smoothly transit to IPv6 network.
