The strengthening action of intermetallics in CrWMoV high temperature alloys was investigated.The adding of Al and Ni elements into CrWMoV alloy would form the intermetallics of Ni Al,Fe Al and W Al types which would take effect of dispersion strengthening and oxide resistance,therefore,to improve the high temperature strength and impact toughness of the alloys.The results showed that the addition of 2% Al would be the optimum amount.
