盘古、盘瓠信仰与瑶族

Pangu,Panhu Belief and Yao

瑶族,是中国南方古老的民族之一。瑶族盘瑶支系中的盘瑶、八排瑶,布努瑶支系中的山子瑶、白裤瑶,平地瑶支系中的部分瑶族有盘古神话流传。盘古,在瑶族中有多种称呼:盘古大帝、盘古皇、盘古郎、盘古王公、盘古王婆,并尊为开天辟地神,人类的始祖神。盘瓠,则是瑶族盘瑶支系中众多分支的共同始祖;瑶族人从原始社会一路走来,把所崇拜的龙犬"盘瓠"视为至高无上的祖先神。盘古与盘瓠,虽然神质与形质上有所不同,盘古身似天地,而盘瓠龙犬出身。瑶族尊崇盘古为人类始祖,而尊崇盘瓠为民族始祖,祭祀的时候总是盘古盘瓠(盘王)一起相请,所以盘古与盘瓠在瑶族心目中视为同一远祖神,在祠庙中供上神位共同祭拜。

Yao is one of the ancient peoples in South China. The myth of Pangu spread amongst Pan Yao, Bapai Yao （branches of Pal Yao） Shanzi Yao, Baiku Yao （branches of Bunu Yao） and some branches of Pingdi Yao. The title of Pangu varies in Yao natianality： King Pangu, Em- peror Pangu, Pangu. Lang, Prince Pangu and Princess Pangu. He is also respectfully called the creator of the world and human ancestor. Panhu is the common ancestor of Yao; Yao have worshiped the dragon dag ＂Panhu＂ as their supreme ancestral God since the primitive society. Although Pangu and Panhu are different in form： Paugu takes the form of the earth while Panhu is of canine origin. Yao respect Pangu as human ancestor and Panhu, as national ancestor. During their rituals in the temple, Yao always worship both of them, so Pangu and Panhu in their minds are regarded as the common ancestral gods. This paper mainly interprets The relationship between Pangu, Panhu belief and Yao.
