边缘检测是图象分析识别前必不可少的环节 ,是一种重要的图象预处理技术 .本文主要回顾了图象边缘检测技术的发展历程 ,讨论了一些典型的边缘检测算法的特点 ,分析了他们的机理和优劣 ,并对边缘检测算法的研究方向进行展望 .

Edge detection is an indispensable step before image analysis and recognition, and is an important technology in the image preprocessing procedure. In this paper we chiefly review the study of the edge detection methods , and then disguss the characteristic of some typical edge detection algorithms, analyze their qualities, and finally give the development of edge detection methods in the future.
