清远区位优势明显,交通便捷,在广东省第十一届党代会上被列为粤东西北唯一中心城区扩容提质的试点市。清远市如何抓住机遇,力争在"十二五"期间把中心城区建设为百万人口的大城市,需要我们根据国内外城市发展的进程和经验,结合清远市的社会经济发展、人口发展的现状进行分析预测,从人口来源、结构以及政策措施等方面为领导决策提出合理科学的思路和建议。

Qingyuan enjoys geographical advantages and convenient transportation in Guangdong Province, therefore, in Provincial Eleventh Party Congress, only Qingyuan was listed as a pilot city to expand its city center and to improve its quality in East and Northwest Guangdong. How Qingyuan seize the opportunity to construct a megacity with over million population in the city center during ＂Twelfth Five-year Plan＂ period require us to learn from the city development process and experience at home and abroad and to make forecast about its population development, combining with the current social and economic development in Qingyuan, in this way, rational and scientific suggestion and ideas from the source, structure, policy and measures of population can be put forward to provide reference for leadership decision making.
