This article introduced basic ideas of skid design and characteristics and advantages of three-dimensional software CADWorx applied in the skid design of oil and gas processing facilities. Basic process of sled design with CADWorx is described through examples, in which database of pipes, models of devices and three-dimensional piping are established, then the extraction of three-dimensional pipeline drawings and generation of skid drawings for oil and gas processing facilities are achieved. The popularization of the method is significant.
