从《渴望》播出至今20多年来,家庭伦理剧数量大,题材丰富,其中主要是反映城市家庭关系与城市平民家庭生活的喜怒哀乐。当代都市家庭伦理剧的审美取向有四:一是电视叙事追求夫妻白头到老、家庭关系和谐幸福;二是人物塑造与道德评价的"美善合一"、"善恶有报";三是对"门当户对"传统婚姻观念的认同;四是百姓安居乐业的现实渴望。
