Value of University Archives with Distinguishing Features and Strategy of Their Collection and Management

近年来在高校不断扩招而生源逐步减少的新形势下,各大专院校逐渐意识到办好和突出特色的重要性,打出自己的特色品牌。与此同时,高校档案部门应与时俱进,建立具有独特内涵和办学风貌的特色档案。特色档案不仅使高校档案馆的馆藏得到了极大的丰富,还能在不断的开发利用中使学校的知名度得到提升,因此,做好特色档案的管理工作将成为档案工作人员新的关注点。

Under the new situation of universities' continuous expansion of enrollment and the gradual reduction of potential number of new students,universities are getting more aware of the importance of creating and highlighting their own distinguishing features,and of boasting their unique attractiveness. Accordingly,the university department of archives should set up special archives that record the university's uniqueness and distinguishing features.Special archives not only enrich the total general collection,but,in the course of their development and utilization,will lift the reputation and popularity of the university. The management of archives with distinguishing features will,therefore,become a new focus of attention for archivists.
