Mao Zedong's Thoughts on Mass Line and Their Enrichment

党的群众路线是毛泽东思想活的灵魂之一。毛泽东在领导中国革命实践中,将唯物史观的基本原理与中国具体实际相结合,回答了革命依靠谁、为了谁和怎样密切联系群众等问题,对党的群众路线的形成作出了突出贡献。改革开放后,邓小平、江泽民、胡锦涛、习近平进一步丰富和发展了毛泽东的群众路线思想。

The Mass Line of the Party is the soul of Mao Zedong Thoughts. In the long-term practice of Chinese revo- lution under his leadership, Mao Zedong combined the fundamental principles of historical materialism with the actual condi- tions of Chinese society and found the answers to issues like who are to depend on for the sake of revolution, for whom and how the mass can be closely linked, which made great contribution to the formation of mass line. Since reform and opening- up, Deng Xiaoping, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping further develop his thoughts.
