A View of Ecology and a World of Sustainable Development in the Book of Changes: Focusing upon a Spirit of Life

生命精神作为了解万物的存在和价值的核心,是生命体意识的精髓。它是从天地的构架上发现的。天地作为一切生命体的发源处,标志着生命体生成和变化的构图,其构图中有生命发挥的方式。《周易》的生态价值观以宇宙的模式为基层,以自然的现象为实质,以乾坤的卦象为标志。生命精神,就宇宙模式来说,发挥为时空间性的结构;就自然现象来说,呈现为生态性的关系;就乾坤卦象来说,表现为全一性的方式。而且,宇宙具有一种生命力,是由时间的流动性和空间的占有性而发挥的。从生命精神来看,万物之间的对立、紧张、冲突都是达到更高层次和谐的"可持续性"的方式,可以说,这里既有生命的实在性,又有实在的生命性。《周易》的世界观以自然生态界的循环过程为内容,从中集中照明生命性的原理,本质上蕴涵着真正的人间观,即作为实在的人和作为人的实在,这既是"生命共同体的善"的所在,又是所谓"可持续发展(sustainable development)"的世界。

The spirit of life, as central to understanding all the existence and value of life, is the es- sence of consciousness. It is found from the world of the frame, heaven and earth, as the source of all life, mark the formation and change of life style, way of life and its composition in the play. It can be said that the Book of Changes＇ s ecological value view regards the model of universe as the base, the natural phenomenon as the essence, and Qiankun as the mark. Specifically, the spirit of life, the uni- verse is mode, functioning as the structure of space-time nature ; natural phenomenon takes on the re- lation of ecology; then Qiankun hexagrams, as all of the way. Moreover, the universe has a kind of vitality, is by the liquidity of time and space by the possessive and play. From the spirit of life, oppo- site, everything between the tension, conflict is to reach higher level of harmony ＂sustainability＂. Here is a life of reality, and reality of life. Book of Changes＇ view of the world to process natural eco- logical circle as the content, principle of lighting life from centralized, essentially contains real world view, as real and as human reality. This is a ＂community of life ＂, and it is ＂sustainable develop- ment＂ in the world.
