摘要 With a volume of about 6 ml and weight of approximately 6 g, the eye makes out only 1/10 000part of the body. Despite this minuscule proportion of the eye on the whole body, quality of life is profoundly influenced by the quality of vision. It shows the high importance of ophthalmology in the field of public health in general and in clinical medicine in particular.
