In 2008, Liaoning Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Fushun Museum conducted rescue excavation to 21 burials in Liu'ertun Cemetery in Fushun City. The types of these burials included brick cist tombs, brick-chamber tombs, tile-coffin tombs, urn burials, etc. The grave goods unearthed from these burials were mainly potteries, with some cylindrical tiles and bronze coins, and so on. These tombs were dated into two phases, which were the mid to late Western Han through the early Eastern Han Dynasty and the late Eastern Han Dynasty through the Three-Kingdoms Period. The burial types and the grave goods were all similar to that of the burials of the same periods in the Central Plains. This excavation provided new materials for the researches on the development and evolution of the burial cultures of the mid and lower classes of the people in the Northeast China, especially the Shenyang-Fushun area, during these two periods, and their relationship with the burial culture in the Central Plains,
