This article introduces some typical development approaches and level of urbanization in a country,analyse the impacts of development process of urbanization in foreign countries on power generation industry and the coping strategy,then it puts forward some successful experience of foreign power generation industry on urbanization and gives an idea about transforming the method of supply of energy,which can provide references for decision making for the development of power generation industry in the background of urbanization in our country.
