Significance of Proposal of Pi Chaogang to Establish Chinese Aesthetics Literature Discipline

近年来,皮朝纲先生提出并大力倡导建立中国美学文献学,这使人们对中国美学文献学具有了一种学科意识,其中国美学文献学包含着一种美学研究的方法论自觉,对中国文化的自觉和以美育人的美育自觉,因而是先生对中国美学所做的又一件功德无量的学术贡献。

In recent years, Mr. Pi Chaogang has proposed and devotedly advocated that Chinese aesthetics lit- erature discipline be established. The significance of the proposal can be presented at least in the following aspects ： making people become aware of a discipline, methodology awareness in aesthetics studies contained in the disci- pline, and an awareness of Chinese culture and aesthetic education. Thus stated, the proposal is another boundless academic contribution of Mr. Pi to Chinese aesthetics.
