Information Service in College and University Libraries Based on the Characteristics of "Generation Y" Readers' Information Behavior

"Y一代"目前已经成为高校图书馆读者的主体。面对信息资源类型、需求和交流平台等环境的变化,高校图书馆应根据"Y一代"的信息行为特点改进服务,包括改善图书馆物理环境、加强数字化资源建设、应用新媒介加强网络图书馆建设、使"Y一代"用户参与图书馆服务等方面。

＂Generation Y＂ has gradually become the main force of college and university hbrary users. The type of information re- sources, information demands and exchange platform have been changed, college and university librarians should promote services ac- cording to the characteristics of ＂Generation Y＂ information behavior, including improving library environment, enhancing digitalization resources construction, strengthening network library construction using new media and providing opportunities for ＂ Generation Y＂ read- ers to participate in library services, etc.
