Based on the analysis of improvement and characterization of lubricants, an important action of lubricants in gear design is introduced, and the gear running is necessary step in production process. While the development or running-in technique and the quality of lubricants, which constrain fatigue and scuffing of gear, gear life will be longer, and design and manufacture will be easier.
