摘要
高校英语教学的目标是培养高素质的英语人才,目前高校英语教学沉浸在传统的教学理念中,限制了大学生的个性发展和英语素养的提升。在社会建构主义理论的视角下,全面阐述了高校英语教学的全新内涵,进而指出高校英语教学要坚持开展素质教育,创新教学模式,始终将大学生放在首位,鼓励大学生开展自主学习和探究式学习。
The goal of higher education is to train high-quality graduates .Currently college English teaching is focused on traditional teaching strategies that limits the personality development of students and their improvement of comprehensive English ability .In this paper ,a comprehensive exposition of a new connotation of college English teaching under the perspective of social constructivism is explored . Furthermore ,it is advocated that college English teaching should adhere to carry out quality education , innovate teaching mode ,and always put students in the first priority .Independent learning and inquiry learning are two main study modes that college students are supposed to be engaged in during their col-lege English study .
