论中国大学名称英语翻译的现状

On Current State of English Names Translation of Universities in China

随着各国大学间的合作与交流,大学校名体现了一个大学的文化和价值,大学校名的翻译影响到学校的国际形象。而国内部分大学校名的英文翻译存在很大的问题,笔者将从大学的英文定义,大学译名存在的问题和中外高校校名翻译的比较来撰写文章,并提出了对部分高校英文校名翻译的建议。

With cooperation and exchanges of world universities, the names of universities embody the culture and value of universities.The translation of universities can exert an international influence on the images of the schools. The author found that some translations of Chinese universities are not accurate. From the definition of university, some questions in the translation of universities, and the comparison of China and oversea universities name translation, the author writes the essay and makes some suggestion about the names translation of Chinese universities.
