从1898到1998,伴随着北京大学的百年历程,北大图书馆在方方面面取得了长足的进步,尤其是在学术研究方面,更是硕果累累。北大图书馆在清末民国期间的特点是馆长带头治学,建国后则是全馆上下学术研究风气日益浓厚;北大图书馆还有组织地开展了大量的科研活动,积极参加图书馆界各级学术组织,并在其中发挥了独特的作用,产生了广泛的社会影响。

From 1898 to 1998,with a hundred years history of Peking University,Peking University Library has made considerable progress in all aspects include academic research. In the late Qing dynasty and the Republic of China period,the curators of the library made a lot of work on academic research. After the founding of the PRC,the staff of the library made more efforts on academic research. Peking University Library organized a lot of research activities,actively participated Library Associations at all levels,and played a unique role in them,and have a broad impact on society.
