东道国特征与中国对外直接投资逆向技术溢出——基于跨国面板数据的经验研究

Characteristics of Host Countries and Reverse Technology Spillovers of China's Outward FDI:An Empirical Study based on Multinational Panel Data

本文基于跨国面板数据,研究了东道国因素对中国对外直接投资逆向技术溢出的影响。研究结果表明,以R&D经费投入和居民专利申请数量表征的东道国创新水平和以人均国内生产总值表征的东道国经济发展水平都对中国对外直接投资逆向技术溢出具有显著的正面影响。同时,东道国知识产权保护制度越健全,越有利于中国企业通过对外直接投资获取逆向技术溢出;而东道国与中国之间的文化差异则在一定程度上阻碍了对外直接投资的逆向技术溢出。

This paper examines the impact of host countries' characteristics on the reverse spillovers of China's outward foreign direct investment based on multinational panel data.It finds that the level of innovation and GDP per capita of host country have remarkable positive effects on the reverse spillovers of China's outward FDI.Meanwhile,the better the system of intellectual property protection system of the host country,the greater the reverse spillovers effects are.The cultural differences between China and the host country hindered reverse technology spillovers to some extent.
