农民画之于宁波，主要在象山、奉化和慈溪三地。慈溪农民画因其在构思、构图、造型、勾线、设色等方面的突出表现，以及强烈的泥土气息，近年来受到了越来越多的关注。优秀的慈溪农民画，或奔放、或粗犷、或凝练，总能在朱红与翠绿的热情之中，看到画家们对生活的热爱，对新事物的讴歌，以及心底那抹深邃而浓烈的乡愁。
Cixi peasant paintings were originated in the 1950s, with a short history in eastern Zhejiang province. Peasant paintings mainly enjoy popularity in Xiangshan, Fenghua and Cixi, three different areas in Ningbo. Owing to their exquisite design, framing and coloring, Cixi peasant paintings are drawing increasing attention. Those excellent Cixi peasant paintings truly express the love of life, the longing for something new, and the sense of nostalgia.
