Analyses are made on the overseas authoritative prediction of the fashion trend for 2001/2002 autumn and winter textiles, in combination with the fabric development in some domestic enterprises. The results suggest that functional and comfort fabrics characterized by elasticity, light weight, bulkiness, softness, hygroscopicity and air permeability; various fabrics with rich textures and green fabrics represent the major orientation for fabric development.
